After nine races of record-setting performances, wild finishes, and unpredictable drama, the 2025 Congruity NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series championship will be decided under the lights at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The season has produced one of the tightest point battles in series history, with four drivers separated by less than 75 points heading into the finale. With Las Vegas awarding 1.5× points and bonus qualifying opportunities, every round — and every thousandth of a second — will count in determining this year’s world champion.
THE LAS VEGAS FACTOR
The Las Vegas (Fall) race serves as the final stop on the Road to the Championship — and the most valuable.
150 points are awarded to the event winner (vs. 100 at standard events).
Up to 29 bonus points are available for qualifying and low-E.T. performance.
Nearly 180 total points are up for grabs, leaving the door open for late-season heroics.
WHO’S HOT HEADING INTO VEGAS
JR Gray — Coming off multiple wins and the best elimination record (.760), Gray enters Vegas as the odds-on favorite (3:1).
Michael Stavrinos — With unmatched speed and three Wallys already this year, Stavrinos is poised to challenge (7:2).
Billy Banaka — The steady hand atop the standings; needs another consistent finish to close it out (4:1).
Derek Menholt — The quiet threat who’s peaked late in the season (6:1).
Sidnei Frigo — Showing speed and performance in the last few events, Frigo is ready to shake up the points (10:1).
Mike Castellana — 2023 champion and perennial contender; his experience and multiple final-round appearances make him a serious threat (5:1).

THE FINAL SHOWDOWN
With the Road to the Championship reset and the title within reach for several competitors, the Las Vegas finale will determine who hoists the 2025 NHRA Pro Mod World Championship Wally. “It’s going to be the most intense race of the year,” said Debbie O’Rourke, NHRA Pro Mod Series Manager. “Between the bonus points, the tight margins, and the stakes, every pass matters — it’s the perfect ending to a season this competitive.”
The Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will decide it all — one race, one champion, and one defining moment for the 2025 season.
